See that cave
you’ve said you crave,
settle into it and stop doing more
for a spell.
Intuit next steps
and new colors here,
in the waiting place,
the long, slow darkness
where you can feel
how quiet lives and speaks.
Here, take a breath
and then another.
There is no need to be good
or to try too hard.
Intuit a truth beating here:
it doesn’t have to be so hard.
It doesn’t have to be a strain
to experience beauty
and to live in magic,
there is no need
to hurt yourself
anymore.
Welcome to December's #30DaysofGoddess practice!

The Power of Daily Practice...
We are here to gather
and here to tend,
we are here to recollect ourselves,
to deepen into the heart
and strengthen into trust.
We are here
to choose with care
and act with love.
We are here
to be here
in this soft and fierce reclamation
of our own lives.
In daily practice, we strengthen our sense of connection and purpose. Our trust deepens, our faith expands. We see magic all around us.
When we take small time every day to tend to our own needs, to take care of ourselves, to pay attention to the invitation that is offered each day to step into the sacred, to keep company with the holy, to breathe the breath of grace, things heal. It doesn’t have to take very much to give ourselves what we need, so let’s bring that into Center, let’s bring that into the front of our lives, let’s decide we’re worth it.
“It was excruciatingly easy to lose touch with the inner life of the soul. There was such a profusion of demand and complexity, so many to-do lists, the unceasing compulsion to accomplish something. When I read that the Chinese pictograph for busyness is ‘heart-killing,’ I felt the truth of that in my bones. In the midst of this struggle to care for my soul, I read Wordsworth’s poem, ‘The Prelude,’ in which he writes about ‘spots of time’ that nourish and repair the soul. I believe he was referring to brief, concentrated moments—little epiphanies—that inflame us with a sense of the holy. I began to search for spots of time here and there in my day. I found them by stopping. Just stopping....I began to ‘come away’ to a nook somewhere in the house or the yard where I would spend five minutes or less sitting still and receding into the quiet core of myself...caring for my soul turned out to be simply that—spots of time in which to be.”

Practice Ideas from this Month’s Video
Reflection Journaling
Use the provided questions (e.g., What are you claiming? What are you letting go of?) for personal journaling.
Explore themes of sovereignty, longing, and freedom in writing.
Tea Meditation
Prepare a cup of tea and use the process as a grounding ritual.
Contemplate the journey of the past year and what you wish to carry forward.
Winter Cave Visualization
Create a quiet, cozy space that feels like a “cave of possibility.”
Sit in stillness, visualizing rest, incubation, and gentle renewal.
Restorative Pause
Intentionally block time for rest with no agenda—simply allow space for restoration and listening inward.
Affirmation Recitation
Recite affirmations drawn from the conversation, such as “I am sovereign in my body, whole within my soul,” or “Restoration is the antidote to depletion.”
Letting Go Ritual
Write down old patterns or identities you’re ready to release.
Symbolically let them go (e.g., burning them safely, tearing them up, or burying them).
Winter Solstice Ritual
Join a community ritual (like ours coming up live December 22nd) or create your own to mark the seasonal turning point.
Guided Contemplation
Meditate on the poem or quotes shared, asking: “What does the crone of winter have to teach me?”
Sharing and Circle Practice
Share your reflections or intentions with trusted friends or a spiritual group, creating a circle of support and accountability.
Artistic Expression
Express your discoveries and dreams through drawing, collage, song, or another creative outlet inspired by the themes discussed.
Together, let us embrace stillness, honor our inner wisdom, and carry the light of magic into the new year.
Reminder: Simple and Sacred
This virtual circle is usually offered live monthly on the second Friday of the month. December’s Circle will take place on Zoom on December 12th.
Live circles are open to anyone on the #30DaysofGoddess newsletter list (that’s you!), replays are available for the Patreon community only. You will get an access link via email for the Zoom room two hours before we begin.
Thanks for being here!
Rest one hand against your heart
and one against your belly.
Say aloud:
I am open to joy.
I am open to ease.
I am open to delight.
I am open to discovery.
I am patient with my own pace.
I grant myself time.
Much love,
Molly
